The Grove

Participating Covens within the Artemisian Tradition offer Grove Studies and/or Apprenticeships to a select few individuals each year.  This is a a highly selective process and one that is entered into with great thought.  Our classes usually begin in January.  Covens are particular with whom they extend invitation to for study as these undertakings require a great deal of the Teacher's, as well as the Student's, time..  Often times interest and a desire are not enough just on their own merit.  We must feel you mesh with our style of Witchcraft and that you are serious about the commitment you, as well as we, would have to make.

Alternatively, what many people are wanting is good solid information to be shared with them.  To that end some members of our Covens are participating in co-sponsored lecture and seminar based classes.  These are not training in any of our tradition but instead a good background in specific areas of possible interest.  If you are interested in these classes please follow this link to The Oklahoma Pagan Association's website.
 

If you enroll in these classes you will be able to meet some of our instructors.  Do not feel you must participate in these classes to be considered for Grove and/or an Apprenticeship.  By mentioning these classes we are trying to provide an outlet for the overwhelming number of inquiries we get each year for our Grove classes.  With such large numbers applying for Grove there is no way we can accept them all.  This gives a new option to those seekers on the path.

We focus on traditional Witchcraft as well as placing a heavy emphasis on Energy Manipulation, the Celtic Lunar Cycle, Herbalism and strong background in the Fey.  Our Grove Studies classes are taken upon a case by case basis. We do limit these classes in size so that there is one on one training for our students.  Our Grove Studies are not our Artemisian Tradition.  They are heavily geared towards the Dianic path in general but they offer a good basic background in the Craft.  When the student completes their studies they should be able to conduct themselves in a respectful and knowledgeable manner in most general circles.  If by entering Grove Studies you think you will be part of the Artemisian Tradition then you are mistaken.  If this is your sole purpose in Grove Studies then they are probably not for you.

Entrance into a Tradition or Coven is something that is highly personalized.  You should never enter into any group with the idea that you want to join a coven.  You should observe their practices, be around them, learn who and what they are.  Covens and Traditions are a commitment that stretches past this life and into all others.  You should be sure of what you want in that arena. 

At this time all Training Covens are located in Tulsa, OK.  Therefore, it is required that the student live, or can travel to, this area on a regular basis to attend their classes, rituals, and workshops.  As our classes are a very intensive set of studies be prefer that you live within the Tulsa Metro Area  Our classes are offered on a personal basis and are not internet based.

If you are chosen to participate in the Grove you will be given a Contract that you must read and agree to before you sign it.  There are rules and regulations to all of life.  This is no different. These rules are in place to protect both you and us and to make known what is and is not expected of you and what you may expect from us.

If you feel you would be interested in learning more about the Artemisian Faerie Faith Tradition we strongly urge you to read the "about us" section of this site.  If after reading this you wish to apply for the Grove Studies classes we have a link at the bottom of the page to a form that you may fill out.  After you have submitted the form and we have reviewed it we will contact you and possibly set up a meeting to visit with you and discuss more about the choices that you have available.  Please note that response time could be up to several weeks depending on the time of year.  If you are filling out the following form for more than one person please submit a form for each person interested in the tradition.

We do ask that only those who are truly interested apply.  Our time is as valuable to us as yours is to you.  If this is but a passing fancy then know that these classes are not right for you at this stage of your life.  It requires a great amount of work on your part as well as a substantial investment of our time.
